Our first Semester in the books.

It is January 2, 2021. 2020 a year like none we have every known. We started Student Athlete Academy in the middle of a world wide pandemic. We started the first semester with 14 full-time and 4 part-time student-athletes. We ended they year with 25 enrolled student-athletes.

Looking back on our first semester we accomplished a lot within the boundaries we had to work within:

Our student-athletes did a great job academically as well as athletically. As a program we sponsored a very successful High School Fair and Evaluator’s Day. We were visited by 5 professional basketball players, we had the Hoop Bus come by all the way from California, we made our voices heard and designed Black Lives Matter gear in a collaboration with NJHoopRecruits, we empowered our young women when we brought in Veronica Beard to have lunch with our young women and talk about what they want to accomplish and how to do it.
